Abstract
Part I of this paper was presented at the SPWLA Stavanger Symposium. Alternative methods for enhanced-resolution processing of density tool data were discussed. The paper then concentrated on a technique, published in a recent paper by Flaum et al., for the enhanced-resolution analysis of density tool data in a rugose hole. It was demonstrated that a simple application of the method would not be pos- sible in the presence of high-Z materials unless the ef- fects of photoelectric (PE) capture can be removed.
