Abstract

It has been stated that pressure test analysis is nonunique until supported by nonpressure test evidence. This paper presents two case histories of extended pressure tests which demonstrate both the nonuniqueness of the pressure information and the analysis that is possible by using all supporting evidence. The two test wells were shown to have limited and noncommercial reserves, but important conclusions were reached concerning a nearby fault and the effectiveness of completion procedures.
