Abstract
Physical modeling has been used to study the behavior of induction tools in a number of bed geometries which will ultimately include dipping beds. Scaling has been used to allow reasonably-sized formation structures to be housed in a laboratory. Linear dimensions have been scaled down by a factor of 7,07 and the operating frequency scaled up by a factor of 50. An integrated system is used which provides for rapid data acquisition, correction, and display. The results should help improve interpretation of induction logs in dipping beds or deviated holes.
