Abstract

In well log analysis, empirical parameters such as the cementation expo- nent (m) and the saturation exponent (n) play a critical role in the det- ermination of water saturation calculations. Presently there are two basic ways of determining these parameters. One method uses log-derived resistivity and porosity data and employs crossplots to determine m and n.
