Abstract

A new logging instrument has been developed to measure the resistivity of geological formations surrounding a well with steel casing. Previously, through casing resistivity logging has been limited to induction logging in fiberglass casing. The research has been funded by the Gas Research Institute of Chicago, Illinois and the U.S. Department of Energy of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
