Abstract

The equipment available for the purposes of the well site geological logging is: the semi-automatic sampler/washer and the Diaflux for sampling the rock cuttings; the penetration rate and depth recorders; the continuous mud weight recorder, mud degasser, hydrocarbon gas detector, H2S detector, gas chromato- graph, mud loss and gain recorder and the reference degasser for detecting and analyzing oil and gas shows; and the automatic calcimeter. Part of this equipment indicates the lithological characteristics and the porosity of the strata being drilled, and part indicates the volume, nature and pressure of the oil and gas shows.
