Abstract
The Crossfield Member of the Wabamun Group in the Lone Pine Creek area of southwestern Alberta consists of very finely to medium crystalline dolomites, deposited as a part of a north-south trending bank generally along the Fifth Meridian. The Crossfield Member represents the porous part of a shallowing upward carbonate cycle, which is capped by laminated and anhydritic dolomites. A shallower, algal facies dominates the reservoir at Lone Pine Creek, compared to Crossfield East where stromatoporoid dolorudstones prevail.
