Abstract
An innovative formulation of the dependence of mechanical properties (bulk modulus, shear modulus, compressional and shear wave velocities), on water saturation in formations dominantly saturated with water/gas binary mixture is presented, based on the results obtained through applying standard formation evaluation techniques to the electrical, porosity, and radiation well log data of a sedimentary interval in seven wells located within the the southern sector of the Gulf of Suez of Egypt.
