Abstract

Borehole gravity surveys have been used in Northern Michigan to make producers out of otherwise dry holes. Wells which are drilled in thick, tight, salt-plugged reefs may have encountered a very restricted, tight facies. The borehole gravity survey can be used to detect nearby porosity.
