Abstract

The computer has developed in the past few years as one of the most powerful tools for the log analyst. However, use of these more sophis ticated analyses for field decision making has been limited. The logistics of getting logs from the well to the computer and results back to the field can be formidable, especially in international operations. Competition with other users can increase turnaround through a large computer complex to an unacceptable level.
