Abstract

The computational power and speed of the modern digital computer make it an indispensable tool for most professional well log analysts. Usually an extensive suite of software (computer programs) is available for making a sophisticated analysis on various combinations of well logs. Such computer systems enable a log analyst to obtain more accu- rate results in his analyses on all well logs and his study of the effects of varying certain parameters. Unfortunately, the software must be altered periodically as new tools and techniques become available.
