Modern seismic processing techniques often permit relatively detailed interpretation. Inherent in many of these detailed seismic applications is the necessity of calibrating seismic information with wellbore data. Consequently, every effort must be made to insure that wellbore data provide the best possible picture of in situ physical properties of the subsurface section.
