Abstract

SPWLA TWENTY-FOURTH ANNUAL LOGGING SYMPOSIUM, JUNE 27-30,1983 the two surveys is the presence of tube noise in the cased hole data. The the two surveys is the presence of tube noise in the cased hole data. The generation of these tube waves and steps taken to process the VSP with generation of these tube waves and steps taken to process the VSP with them present are provided. A comparison of the open and cased hole VSP them present are provided. A comparison of the open and cased hole VSP with the surface seismic section is then discussed. Recommendations with the surface seismic section is then discussed. Recommendations concerning the results obtained in these surveys are made with particular concerning the results obtained in these surveys are made with particular emphasis on methods to eliminate tube wave propagation.
