Invasion Profile from the Digital Induction Log

A method is presented for the automated evaluation and continuous output of invasion profile parameters from the Digital Induction Sonde. For the step profile case, R"0,Rt and d; are computed with redundancy from four independent induction channels, each corrected for hole size and mud resistivity effects. Skin effects are initially assessed assuming homogeneous formations, then refined on the basis of the R.,O,Rt and d, , estimates.
