Abstract
If accurate information is needed about reservoirs consisting of thin beds and rapid lithological changes, a high resolution analysis is neccessary. The lithology analysis presented in this paper utilizes the one foot spacing BHC Sonic log and the. Litho-density log, sampled every 1.2 inches, to achieve a vertical bed resolution of one foot Using a three mineral mathematical model which equate tool response to volumetric fractions of each mineral, porosity and lithology can be calculated.
