Abstract

Pulsed neutron logging has proven itself to be an excellent method for determining fractured intervals and hydrocarbon-bearing zones. With the onset of horizontal drilling in fractured carbonate reservoirs, enhanced logging and interpretation techniques have been developed. Through-drillpipe logging technology using pump-in valves, pumpdown subs, and 1-11/16-in.
