Abstract

Many wells are logged while drilling us- ing 2 MHz propagation resistivity tools. An adaptive deconvolution technique has been developed to significantly improve the ver- tical response of these tools. Typically, the phase shift resistivity is shallower and has a better vertical resolution than the attenua- tion resistivity. In thick beds, separation of the two resistivities can indicate invasion.
