Abstract

Two fast modeling programs have been devel- oped to simulate resistivity logs for 2-MHz log- ging while drilling (LWD) and for wireline induc tion tools. These programs model many beds, with independent invasion profiles composed of arbitrary radial steps in each bed. Because the modeling pro- grams can reproduce tool responses to realistic in- vasion in detail, they can be used to support the interpretation of complex invasion profiles.
