Abstract

Reserves are of prime importance both for contract purposes and for export applications, and log evaluation plays a very important role in the day to day evaluation of reserves by a gas transmission company. Through working with logs and related information and with a number of fairly illustrative examples, an outline is presented which is intended to show an approach in determining such parameters as pay, porosity and water saturation. It is hoped that with a presentation such as this, a maximum of contin- uity can be achieved between producer and buyer in reserve discussions.
