Abstract

in cases of deep or varying mud invasion, delineation of hydrocarbon- bearing zones can be difficult with the use of log calculated values of water saturation alone. The three resistivity curves recorded with Dual Induction type logs may exhibit little or no separation suggesting no invasion or deep invasion. Several techniques are suggested which can often give the Well Log Analyst a better feel for the amount of invasion present.
