Abstract

Much work has already been accomplished in the development of downhole instruments that will survive the hostile hot dry rock environment encountered in the Fenton Hill (6000 psi). Therefore, borehole logging in the Phase I wellbores is now a routine operation. The Phase II system with boreholes to 4572 m (15 000 ft), MPa (10 000 psi) pressure has placed much more stringent requirements for the inclination of the EE-2 and EE-3 wellbores also introduced new problems.
