Abstract

Seismic stratigraphic interpretation is based on the ability to correlate seismic character to subsurface geology. The correlation is established at a well with a synthetic seis- mogram computed from well log data, but the use of unedited sonic and density data may result in serious errors in the synthetic. Editing is there- fore an essential part of the interpretation.
