Abstract

Development of a workable hydraulic stimulation design process in the gas-bearing cretaceous sands of Central Alberta is the primary focus of this paper. Previously marginal gas producers were sig- nificantly improved through better hydraulic fracture stimulations. This was accomplished by using an integrated approach that combined geology, geophysics, petrophysics and geomechanics.
