Abstract

Since the early nineteen-fifties, approx- imately thirty Cardium oil and gas pools have been developed in Western Canada. The majority of these pools do not have an active water drive. Abnormally high pressures exist in these areas, suggesting a lack of permeable connection to the outcrop.
