Petro-Canada is seeking a motivated and skilled individual for a position of Petrophysicist. As a member of the Geological and Geophysical Applied Technology group you will assist geological operations and business units in the evaluation of newly drilled wells, perform large-scale field evaluations, evaluate new logging technology and analysis techniques, and participate in ongoing technical exchange with your co-workers.

The Ideal candidates will possess:

• A B.Eng. or B.Sc. in geology or geophysics with 5-10 years of experience in formation evaluations with the emphasis on open hole log evaluations.
• Familiarity with the Geolog interpretation software would be an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
• Occasional wellsite supervision may also be required in this position

Petro-Canada offers a very attractive total compensation and benefit package. Salary administration will be dependent on the skill level and experience of the successful candidate.
